Saturday Café - monthly

On 19th January 2008, a monthly coffee morning started at St John's. This is now known as the Saturday Café. This is normally held on the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 12:00 but dates and times do change (check the Events page.)

We hope to let the community in Allestree know what we are about. What we don't want people to think is that all we want is their money. So, although some of them will be for a specific charity, the majority will not be specifically for raising money.

To make it a little different from the ordinary coffee morning, there is a meditation corner and somewhere for children to play or look at books. There is no pressure for anyone to use these facilities, but they are available to be used as a chance to explore our church a little more.
