Monthly coffee mornings

On 19th January 2008, a monthly coffee morning started at St John's. This will be held regularly on the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 12:00. We hope to let the community in Allestree know what we are about. What we don't want people to think is that all we want is their money. So, although some of them will be for a specific charity eg on 16th February it was for Phakamisa, the majority will not be specifically for raising money.

To make it a little different from the ordinary coffee morning, there will be a meditation corner and somewhere for children to play or look at books. There will be no pressure for anyone to use these facilities, but they will be available to be used as a chance to explore our church a little more.

The next coffee morning will be on 19th April.
